Push-back date for winter break

St. Thomas University Students’ Union president Sarah Kohut went to senate where the push-back date was approved for winter break. The first day back after the break will be on Jan. 11 to account for students who need to self-isolate.

David Coon virtual office hour

St. Thomas University Students’ Union vice-president education said STU and University of New Brunswick students have the opportunity to virtually meet with Fredericton-South MLA David Coon every Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. The Zoom link can be found on the STUSU Facebook page.

Naloxone kit training

St. Thomas University Students’ Union vice-president student life Kyle McNally said naloxone kit training is available to students on Oct. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. Email su_vpsl@stu.ca to reserve a space.

Coffee house moved online

St. Thomas University Students’ Union off-campus representative Sydney Shelley said the coffee house scheduled for Oct. 23 is being moved to a virtual event due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the province. Videos can be sent to off-campus representative Kathleen Jones on Facebook by Oct. 21 to participate.

Off-campus Halloweek

St. Thomas University Students’ Union off-campus representative Sydney Shelley said the week of Halloween will be a virtual theme week. Oct. 26 is the first theme day with meme Monday, then Tuesday will have students show off their jack-o-lanterns, Wednesday will be black and orange day, Throwback Thursday and freaky Friday. You can enter on Instagram with the hashtag OCHalloweek.
